Exhibition's venue :
Organized by the Accademia Internazionale Medicea, Curator: Nicoletta Rossotti, in collaboration with Carlos Sablón,
The exhibition PATHOS will take place from April 21 to April 28, 2026, at the Galleria Angelica, located in Piazza di Sant’Agostino, in the heart of Rome’s historic center, in the immediate vicinity of Piazza Navona.
The Galleria Angelica is part of the historic complex of the Biblioteca Angelica, founded in 1604, one of the oldest public libraries in Europe, under the authority of the Italian Ministry of Culture (Ministero della Cultura).
This major heritage venue regularly hosts high-level cultural and artistic events and enjoys strong visibility among key figures in the Italian art world, cultural sector, and institutional circles.
The exhibition is part of the official program of the Cinquantenario of the Accademia Internazionale Medicea.
1. The Artists:
This exhibition will bring together artists preselected by Master Carlos Sablón, during the Salon Comparaisons (2021–2026) and the Salon d’Automne 2025.
2. Dates of the exhibition and the opening:
From April 21 to April 28, 2026.
All artists are invited to the opening events. Travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the artist.
Press conference and official opening: April 21, 2026.
3. Paintings:
ONE (1) mandatory painting:

1 large format maximum size: 100 x 100 cm, on canvas in Oil or Acrylic.
Supervision: Mandatory black nail cover, frame prohibited (Provide hanging material for the two paintings because there is no time to improvise on site)
All paintings must be signed by the artist with artist name and title of the painting on the frame. Tables not respecting these conditions cannot be accepted.
4. Theme
Magical realism, surrealism, visionary art, new figuration.
5. Installation
The installation will be carried out by the museum’s curatorial and technical team.
6. Participation Fee
The participation fee is €210.

The participation fee remains due even if the artwork is not delivered on the scheduled deposit date.
7. Insurance
Insurance for the artworks during transport and throughout the exhibition period is the responsibility of the artist.
The organizers decline all responsibility in case of theft, fire, or any other damage.
8. Sales
During the exhibition, artworks will be offered at their public price.
Delivery costs are borne by the buyer.
Negotiations may not exceed 15% of the public price stated in the application.
The intermediary receives a 20% commission on sales.
9. Reproduction Rights
Artists will not claim reproduction rights or royalties for the reproduction of their works in media related to the event.
The artist must submit a high-resolution image (300 dpi) of the artwork via the application form no later than February 24, 2026.
10. Transport
Artworks must be delivered on April 17, 2026, between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., directly to the Galleria Angelica, Piazza di Sant’Agostino, Rome.
Under special conditions, artists may also deliver or send their artworks to Carlos Sablón before April 1, 2026.
He will handle the delivery and collection on their behalf; transport insurance remains the responsibility of the artist.
