
SALON COMPARAISONS
Application 2026
Our Salon will be held from February 11 to 14, 2026.
The opening of Art Capital is scheduled for Thursday, February 12, 2025.
For organizational reasons, the details regarding submission and retrieval will be specified later.
Exhibition conditions
Read the conditions below carefully.
Exhibition's venue :
The exhibition "Salon Comparaisons 2026 – Groupe Visionirique Étrange" will take place as part of Art Capital from February 11 to 14, 2026, at Grand Palais.
1. The Artists:
This exhibition will bring together artists preselected by group leaders.
2. Exhibition and Opening Dates :
The exhibition will be held from February 11 to 14, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
All artists are invited to the opening. Travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the artist.
3. Artworks:
Two (2) mandatory paintings:

1 large format between 110-130 cm wide and 150-195 cm long, on canvas in Oil or Acrylic.

1 small format of 22x16 cm or 16x22 cm on canvas in oil or acrylic.
Framing:
A black nail cover is mandatory; frames are not allowed.
(Artists must provide their own hanging materials as there will be no time for adjustments on site.)
All paintings must be signed by the artist, with the artist's name and the painting's title written on the back of the canvas.
Paintings that do not meet these requirements will not be accepted by Comparaisons.

4. Theme:
Each group leader will assign a theme.
5. Hanging:
Artists present will be responsible for hanging their own works. However, the order of installation will be decided by the group leader.
6. Transport:
The submission and retrieval of paintings are the responsibility of the artist.
Under special conditions, artists may also drop off or send their paintings to Carlos Sablon at least 8 weeks before the exhibition date.
He will handle the submission and retrieval on their behalf. Transport insurance remains the responsibility of the artist.

7. Insurance:
The insurance of the paintings for transport and during the exhibition is the responsibility of the artist.
Salon Comparaisons declines all responsibility in case of theft, fire, or any other damage.
8. Sale:
The total sale amount will be paid directly to the artist.
During the exhibition, the paintings will be offered at the public price.
The artist agrees to donate 20% of the sale price to Salon Comparaisons.
Delivery costs are to be covered by the buyer. Price negotiations cannot exceed 15% of the public price stated in the application.
9. Catalog:
Each artist will receive one (1) free catalogue.
Artists will not claim reproduction rights or royalties for the work featured in the catalogue or in media covering the event.
To be included in the catalogue, the artist must send a high-resolution (300dpi) photo of both the large and small formats via the application form no later than September 30, 2025.
10. Cost of participation:
The Salon Comparaisons requests participation fees from each artist:
430 € for payments from France
450 € for payments from abroad (20 € for bank charges )
All payments must be made in Euros (€) to the order of COMPARAISONS Nouvelles.
The participation fee is non-refundable, even if the artwork is not delivered on submission day.
REGULATIONS

The list of group leaders and participating groups is determined by the Council.

Artists must clearly indicate the title and dimensions (height, width, and depth) of their artwork.

Participating painters may exhibit one recent main artwork, with a maximum width of 130 cm, and one small format (1F = 16x22 cm or 22x16 cm).

Sculptors may exhibit one large piece and one small piece, not exceeding 20 cm in height and 25 cm in the other dimensions.

Only transportable elements using a manual cart are allowed.

Motorized equipment is not permitted inside the Grand Palais.

Sculptors must provide a well-finished pedestal that meets Grand Palais safety standards.

For 3D works, note that neither the walls nor the architecture can support pieces that require suspension.

Packaging materials cannot be stored inside the Grand Palais. Artists or their representatives must take them back after delivery and return with them for collection.

Works arriving from abroad are the artist's full responsibility until they are delivered to the Grand Palais.

Comparaisons is not legally responsible for the artworks and does not provide insurance.

Artists are strongly encouraged to insure their works from drop-off to retrieval.

No artwork may be removed before the end of the Salon.

Reproduction Rights:

Participating artists agree not to claim reproduction rights for works featured in the catalogue or media.

Errors in the catalogue:

While all efforts will be made to ensure accuracy, Comparaisons is not responsible for any errors in the catalogue.

A help desk will be available throughout the Salon.

In the event of a sale, the reception staff will accept payments on behalf of the artist as a courtesy.

The artist commits to making a 20% donation from the sale to the Comparaisons Association.

Force Majeure Clause:

Comparaisons cannot be held financially or technically responsible if the Salon is canceled due to force majeure or circumstances beyond their control.
