Exhibition Venue:
The exhibition will take place from december 1st 2026 to end february 2027, at the SHANXI Museum in Taiyuan Province, west of Beijing.
The museum is located in the heart of Taiyuan, the capital of SHANXI. It is one of China’s most prominent national museums, with an average of 3,000 visitors per day and 10,000 on weekends. The Shanxi Museum (Chinese: 山西博物院; Pinyin: Shanxi Bówùyuàn) is the largest museum and cultural building in Shanxi Province. Located in Taiyuan, it houses approximately 400,000 cultural relics and 110,000 ancient books.
1. The Artists:
This exhibition will bring together artists preselected by Master Carlos SABLON and the China-Europe Alliance for Art and Culture.
2. Dates of the exhibition and the opening:
From december 1st 2026 to end february 2027. All artists are invited to the opening ceremony. Travel and accommodation expenses are to be covered by the artists. (contact us for more trip details)
3. Paintings:
One large painting
100 cm mandatory in one side and between 100-200 cm on the other side, on canvas, in oil or acrylic, vertical or horizontal format.
Framing: WITHOUT stretcher (rolled). For this specific format, the museum will handle mounting the painting on a stretcher.
All paintings must be signed by the artist, with the artist’s name and the painting title. Paintings not meeting these conditions will not be accepted.
4. Theme:
Magical realism, surrealism, visionary art, and new figuration.
5. Installation:
Installation will be handled by the museum’s management.
6. Participation Fee:
Participation and transportation costs amount to

7. Insurance:
Insurance for the paintings during transportation and the exhibition is the responsibility of the artist. The Shanxi Museum, the China-Europe Alliance for Art and Culture, and the Visionary Strange Group disclaim any liability in the event of theft, fire, or other damage.
8. Sales:
During the exhibition, paintings will be offered at their public price. Delivery costs will be borne by the buyer. Negotiations cannot exceed 15% of the public price listed in the application. The China-Europe Alliance for Art and Culture retains a 15% commission on sales.
9. Reproduction Rights:
Artists will not claim reproduction rights or royalties for works reproduced in media coverage of the event.
The artist must send a high-resolution photo (300 dpi) of the large or small format painting via the application form no later than 10 april 2026.
10. Submission of Works:
